Tzidon Polymers was established in 1982 by the late Ben Tzidon.

Ben had completed his Chemical Engineering B.Sc. degree at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) 20 years earlier. As a brilliant student, Ben was offered a student position at ExxonMobil Corporate in Europe, where he was soon being given increased responsibility and was promoted to strategic positions.  Among his positions at ExxonMobil, he was responsible for developing new products and promoting sales in the international plastics market.

After 20 years working at ExxonMobil, Ben decided to return home to Israel where he founded Tzidon Polymers as the sole agency of ExxonMobil and other leading suppliers. At the time the Israeli plastics industry was in the early stages of development. Knowledge was not as accessible as today, but Ben brought his extensive experience, knowledge and international connections and used these assets to develop and grow the plastics industry in Israel.
